Cedar of Barouk Lebanon is the largest cedar reserve and the oldest documented in history. Barouk is a village Chouf district with an elevation of 250m. Its inhabitants are Druze, Melkite Christians, and Maronite.

My visit to Cedar of Barouk is through the invitation of a local. I visit Barouk Cedar Biosphere reserve way back in 2018. You can learn its history, cedar reservation because it is in number due to illegal logging. Cedar can live 600 years and it grows 25 inches annually in the nursery.

Did we get it right? why cedar needs to be reserve? Please let me know in the comments section below.
