Mosque in Saida Lebanon

Writer: Mary Ann Vilbar LegurpaMary Ann Vilbar Legurpa

Religion is the set of beliefs that is passionately held by a group of people that is reflected in world view. It helps structure our values in day-to-day life.

My travel also caters to religious sites and my curiosity to explore it started when I was thirteen years old. I was born in a Catholic belief father and protestant belief mother but baptized in a catholic ceremony. Growing up I seldom hear debate of some religious organization. I visited this mosque because of my curiosity about Islam religion. This visit gives me clarity for some misconceptions of people who don't have the courage to learn other beliefs. Religion doesn't restrict us to visit and learn their faith, what restricts us is no courage to learn and accept other beliefs and just utter our prejudiced opinion without learning it.
